Swinging for Kettlebells
Monday 27th July 2015
This week, team Boocla have been talking Kettlebells and the boost in popularity of Kettle classes.
If you haven’t come across these little bells of fury already, then here are 5 reasons why you should.
Great for busy people.
Kettlebells give you the biggest bang for your buck as they combine strength training and cardio rolled into one. With an extremely high metabolic cost of throwing weight around, they’re the perfect replacement for the monotony of the treadmill.
Full body workout.
That’s right – Ketllebells will work muscles that you never even knew you had, and make you ache in places you never thought you would. No pain, no gain as they say.
With a constantly moving centre of gravity as you perform weird and wonderful (and occasionally somewhat undignified) movements with the Kettlebell, your core is constantly engaged to retain your balance. Yep - Kettlebells eat muffin tops for breakfast.
As fantastic as it is to be able to squat your body weight, the chances of you needing to use this skill in daily life are slim to none (unless you’re Arnie). Kettlebells engage your whole body for both cardio and strength training. Next you find yourself running for a train carrying an enormous suitcase – you’ll be glad you went to Kettlebells class.
With so many moves, drills and forms of Kettlebell training, you’ll never get bored!
All in all, you’ll be onto a winner with Kettlebell classes! Why not try it out?
We want you to be able to find and attend awesome, more niche classes like Kettlebells through Boocla. Help Boocla become a reality and #BackBoocla here!
